Back on the soccer field
As some of you know, Sam and I actually met while playing on a co-ed soccer team. So it was fun when we found a team that had room for some alternates and told us to show up for the first game (yesterday). If you know how little we exercise, you may be wondering how we were in good enough shape to play soccer....that's easy...we WERN'T!! Oh my gosh! after playing for about 5 minutes we both thought we were going to die! Sam's hasn't exercised in about 5 years, and apparently the little bit of exercising that I have done, did nothing. After the first time that I had to sprint to the ball, i was so out of breath, and I tried to yell at a teammate to cheer them on, or tell them who was open, but found that was more than my lungs could handle. :-) I don't regret the decision, we still had a lot of fun. It was great to feel like we had somewhere to go, do something physical, and get to socialize with friends (sam's friend and his girlfriend are on the team, as well as some friends from our old soccer team). We even went out for a slush at Sonic afterwards-soulds like a great night to me :-)

My sister is the Coolest!!
SO my sister Lacie has been finding all kinds of cool stuff to add to her site and i am so impressed! So I am totally going to copy her-but I want to give her credit and officially say she is the one who showed me where to get all the cool add-ons to my site. check out hers to see for yourself. You may notice her interesting choice of a webpage address and names for everyone, since her husband is in the military, she was going for something anonymous-I think she acheived that :-) The muisic site we used is loudfusion.com.

The Boston Checklist

We finally made it to the Newport Mansions...make that "mansion" (we only took the tour of the Breakers). Really big, really extensively decorated, and I really liked the city of Newport.

One last meal at the Barking Crab (my personal favorite in all of Boston.) talk about a restaurant with Character..not to mention -within the budget :-) (by the way-check out my cute hair-I just got it cut and here is still looks cute from when the hairdresser styled it.)
Congratulations Dr. !!! :-)
The day is FINALLY HERE!! :-) Sam is officially graduated! YIPEE! All the hard work has finally paid off and on Sunday he received his HUGE Dental Degree (really-it is Gigantic!-sorry I don't have a picture of it yet). I am so proud of him -and even though it is a little bit selfish-I am ecstatic to now be a "doctor's wife"! :-)

Officially employed!
WAHOO I got a job...and technically I have 2...maybe 3!! One called me back, and since it was the first I heard back from -I accepted even though it was my second choice. Then the next day my first choice called back. The one I like (pays more and I get my own desk) is at the Association of Cosmetology schools, the other is at a CPA's office. I was about to call the CPA's office and politely apologize and say I no longer want to take the position...but then I decided that it may be possible to keep them both since they are both part-time. So right now, I am trying to decide if I want to work there as a second job or maybe just get a job at Wells fargo with my old manager. So right now I have options! and it feels a lot better than my situation last week when no one had called me back yet :-)
On a serious note-I was devastated today at some news I got from Lindy. As some of you know..she is a fellow Gilmore Girls fan. And she told me that this is the final season of Gilmore girls. I remember hearing the advertisement that next week was the finale-but I thought it was just for this season-not the whole show?? How will my life go on?? :-) All I have to say-is they better leave us on a good note-because yesterdays episode did not have a happy ending-Logan proposed to Rory and she said no. Can't wait for the next sappy WB show to get hooked on. I am a loyal WB watcher-dating back to Dawson's Creek, Felicity, 7th Heaven, Jack and Jill and right up to Gilmore Girls and One Tree Hill. I am getting into October Road, so maybe that will be a good substitute. Ta ta :-)

Someday...
Check out all that lighting...and openness AND Double sinks!!WOW!
Grass in the front yard..... AND the back!
We have been looking at houses for fun, and we both really like this one (well, from the pictures). It is even in a sort of central location-still closer to Sam's side of town...but not completely far from my side. Those nice wood floors and mouldings and columns bring a little bit of the good part of Boston back with us. It is even a 4 bedroom so we could definitely have a guest room for all of you to come and visit. Oh and it is walking distance to the elementary school and a little park. I think it is probably out of our budget...$priced at $360K, but Sam seems to think we can afford it. (Which of course is interesting...since he doesn't actually know what he will be making.) :-)
I keep telling myself that I don't need a whole lot in a house to make me happy...that I could be happy just having a house of our own. So I have all these great ideas about saving money by finding one of the cheapest houses that we can find, and living in that for a while. But when I am actually looking at pictures of houses like this compared to ..."those" :- I am starting to rethink that idea. Maybe I am a little more high maintenance that I thought :-)
Something in the water...
So as most of you know-Rachel has always been an early riser. No matter what time we put her to bed she always seems to wake up at 6 something, and it isn't uncommon for her to wake up when the clock numbers start with GASP! a 5! I used to dream of the day when I could wake up on my own, and she would be still be sleeping away, and I could just worry about myself first thing in the morning. Well, for some reason, since we have been here-there have been many days were this happened. Sadly, I am not as ambitious as I once assumed I would be, and most of those days I just rolled over and went back to sleep (so much for thinking I am a morning person). But there have been a few days where I got to wake up and read my scriptures, then read a fun book :-) I am not sure what exactly is making the difference, but I am not compaining. I am missing the cable to my camera to upload pictures...so hopefully I will find it soon.
Oh-and I have another job interview on Wednesday at 1:00-Wish me luck :-)
