MUST SEE!!!

Hey everyone--for any of you who have seen Rachel with her "tiny" you will be able to appreciate this picture that my mom took. Take a look--
i included a link-but if it didn't work-just click on the link to my mom's photography site on my favorites

I LOVE IT! It captures her natural smile-but also a love for a prized possession :-) I am getting all teary eyed writing this :-) My little girl is growing up. I love her to death-and I am so glad my mom was able to capture it the way she did. I especially like how the tiny looks like it was been well cared for...and it's true "Self" (worn, raggedy, torn) is somehow camoflauged. Thanks Mom!

PS-as for an update on the house-we put in a low offer on the resort house..surprisingly--they didn't go for it-so I think we have decided to rent for a few months and then pick up on the house hunt again.

A new Do

Well, we cut Rachel's hair pretty short...I was kind thinking that it might make it more curly (afterall it was really curly when it was this length before it grew out) ...but it is pretty straight now :-( I still think it is cute :-) For this picture I had to get it wet agiain and use some gel. Rach wasn't really cooperating --still not a fan of having her picture taken when she isn't in the mood.

*update*

So-my car is nice and fixed-no gas reimburement for the rest of my life or anything though....bummer. :-) It only cost $260 -and since that isn't the standard $500 car repair-I am happy.

I have moved on to dreaming about living in a house on a lake with a little paddle boat docked in my back yard. Ahhhhh The life :-)

The board granted Sam his license so he will be able to work in about a week when the paperwork is all completed (and hopefully he finalizes the contract with the Doctor he has been talking to.)

All i wanted was...some Midol.

So here's the story (the shorter version-I didn't realize it was so long :) I Had a rough day today. It started with cramps and ended with my car being at an auto repair shop with a brake problem (even though we just bought new brakes 6 months ago) -and the repairman was completly confused as to how to fix them.

First he said it would be $260 to fix them, and then said it would be $600, then called back to say he had no idea what was wrong because he had all kinds of parts there--and nothing was fitting. I make it home around 7-starving. Sam has had a long day being stuck in the house with Rach without a car, he needs a break from her, she is cranky, and missed me, and needs to be put to bed. (Nice role reversal huh?) Wish me luck tomorrow :-)

I hope they will find that it is a manufacturer problem and they will pay for the repair-and reimburse me for the brakes I put on 6 months ago.--what do you think my chances are???

(on the upside-I think Sam has found a job-he is in the contract negotiation stage-but all looks good--i think it is only a matter of when-and not "if", And he will get his license tomorrow--so it will all work out perfectly...right?
