Fort Revere-
Christine had heard there was a cool old fort somewhere so we set off to find it. After reaching the end of the penninsula where it was supposed to be, and circling the cemetary many times, we followed some of the local youth and found it.

Fort Revere houses the remains of two seacoast fortifications and a water tower with an observation deck, which provides spectactular views of the rest of Boston Harbor, as well as much of the northern coast of the South Shore. It was a former defense installation which was active during the first half of the twentieth century. The tower was sited on one of the five points of the star-shaped Fort Independence (on Castle Island), which was created during the American Revolution.
I never saw an observation tower, but we found this place with a great view of the harbor...which would have turned out better had it not been overcast and raining.
